Almost everyone who has heard about Everest has a trip to Everest in their bucket list. But it isn’t feasible for everyone to go on a 14-day trek or charter an expensive helicopter tour. Instead, the mountain flight tour is an excellent way to see Everest along with the other peaks of the eastern Himalayan range.
After the mountain flight, you visit the UNESCO cultural heritage sites in Kathmandu before calling it a day.
You start early and drive to rafting embarkation point (3-4hrs) at Charaudi. After a detailed brief by the team leader about safety procedures and what to expect, the rafting starts. The first leg is approximately 4 hrs. You pass through small gorges on a straightforward, easily negotiated and well-spaced-out sections of the river.
After a picnic lunch, the rafting continues. Thereafter, the rapids are consecutive and more fun. After about 3 hours, the first day ends at the take-out point at Kuringhat.
At the beach camp, a hot dinner, campfire and more fun awaits.
Post breakfast you continue on the rafting trip. The second day offers more thrilling rapids (Grade 4). Early afternoon, after another picnic lunch on the river beach, you will arrive at the takeout point, 5 Kilo at Mugling Bazaar and then drive on private transportation to Pokhara (4 – 5 hrs).
Rest of the evening is spent at leisure.
We start early in the morning and drive to Sarangkot. As the sun rises over the Himalayan giants Annapurna and Dhaulagiri (along with 30 peaks over 6000 m), the snowclad peaks turn from bright pink to orange and finally white, while the Phewa lake gleams below.
You can also opt for a paragliding or ultra-light flight (extra – not included in the program cost).

Patan or Yala (in Newari language), was one of the prosperous Newari Kingdom. It was famed for art and craft and as a centre of both Hinduism and Buddhism. There are more than 55 major temples dedicated to Hindu gods.
The 2015 earthquake had damaged many temples, but restoration is underway. The courtyard also houses a museum cafe which offers a variety of cuisines and is perfect for lunch after all the temple-gazing.
In the evening, a treat awaits as you sample through Newari Cuisine with options for vegetarians, non-vegetarians and the bold eater.
