Note

This luxury Everest Base Camp trek is realistic, safe, and premium. It combines adventure with comfort, manages altitude responsibly, and sets clear expectations—exactly what high-end clients value and trust.

Lukla flight

Due to increasing traffic congestion at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and the high volume of Lukla flights operating from TIA, arrangements have been made to operate all Lukla flights from Ramechhap Airport during the tourist season. Lukla is the busiest airport among STOL airfields operated from Kathmandu. Therefore, to avoid traffic congestion, minimise the load on TIA, and facilitate other international operations from TIA, all airlines operating in the Lukla sector will be flying from Ramechhap Airport. Manthali Ramechhap Airport is situated in the Tamakoshi River Valley in Manthali, the capital of the Ramechhap District, at an altitude of 474 meters. It is located 132 kilometers east of Kathmandu, and the road journey takes approximately 4.5 hours. Upon your return to Kathmandu from Lukla, you will fly to Ramechhap and then travel by road to Kathmandu.

And when flying to lukla from ramechp it is best to drive to ramechap one day before and spend the night at kwality beach resort and next day 1 hour drive to ramechap airport and fly to lukla. Most people and agencies plan to drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap Airport at 1:00 a.m. and fly to Lukla the next day, but in my view this plan is not ideal. It is more comfortable and safer to drive to Ramechhap Airport one day in advance and take the Lukla flight the following day, as it reduces fatigue and the risk of delays.

Overview

This Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is thoughtfully designed for discerning travelers seeking comfort, safety, and exclusivity while journeying to the base of the world’s highest mountain. The program combines carefully selected premium lodges along the trail, highly professional guides, and a well-paced itinerary that prioritizes proper acclimatization and overall well-being.

Guests travel between Kathmandu Lukla-Kathamndu by regular commercial flights, offering a classic Himalayan flying experience and efficient access to the Everest region. To enhance comfort and reduce physical strain, the return journey from Gorakshep to Lukla is arranged by helicopter, allowing guests to avoid the long and demanding descent on foot.

Accommodation throughout the trek is arranged at the best available lodges in each
location, providing superior comfort compared to standard teahouses wherever possible. However, due to the remoteness and altitude of the high Himalaya, accommodation becomes more basic at extreme elevations—particularly at Gorakshep—where lodge infrastructure is limited.

This journey offers a refined balance of adventure and comfort, making it an ideal choice for travelers who wish to experience Everest Base Camp with enhanced services, safety, and logistical support.
