Visa Procedure / Fees (Nepal)

Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Nepal. Tourist visas can be easily obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or at designated land border entry points.

Visa Procedure

  1. Complete the online visa application form (or fill it at the airport kiosk).
  2. Print the confirmation slip.
  3. Make the visa fee payment at the bank counter.
  4. Proceed to immigration for visa issuance.

Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.

Visa Fees

  • 15 Days: USD 30
  • 30 Days: USD 50
  • 90 Days: USD 125

Visa fees are payable in USD (cash) or equivalent convertible currency. Fees are non-refundable.

Visa Extension

Tourist visas can be extended at the Department of Immigration, Kathmandu or Pokhara.

  • Minimum extension: 15 days (USD 45)
  • Additional days: USD 3 per day

Important Notes

  • Nationals of some countries must obtain a visa before arrival.
  • Children under 10 years receive a free visa.Multiple-entry visas are available under the same fee structure.
